Skysports.com can reveal Alan Gow has agreed a deal to join Wolves from Rangers.
The talented attacker has been in talks with Wolves for the last few days after the Championship leaders agreed an undisclosed fee with Rangers for Gow.
Mick McCarthy has held a long-term interest Gow and the 26-year-old caught the eye of the Wolves boss during a successful loan spell at Blackpool.
Gow scored five goals in 17 appearances for Blackpool and McCarthy sees him as a key addition to his squad as he looks to win promotion to the Premier League.
The player's agent Phil McTaggart confirmed a deal was in place pending a successful medical after fruitful talks with Wolves.
"Alan has agreed terms with Wolves after talks with the club," McTaggart told skysports.com.
"He has agreed a two-and-a-half-year deal and the move will be completed pending a medical later this week.
"Alan has been impressed by the ambition of Wolves and is hoping to help them in their bid to win promotion to the Premier League."
