Arshavin: Interested in move
Russia star Andrei Arshavin has indicated he would be interested in a move to Arsenal.
Arsenal have been strongly linked with the skilful attacker and reports over the weekend suggested they have already had one bid turned down by Zenit St Petersburg for Arshavin.
Arshavin is keen to leave Zenit in this month's transfer window and Arsenal are believed to be leading the chase for the Russian international.
The 27-year-old believes he would be well suited to Arsenal by claiming they play in a simliar style to Zenit.
"In some games last season, we played football which was very similar to that of Arsenal," Arshavin is quoted as saying in the Daily Telegraph.
Arshavin also revealed that his favoured No.10 shirt is already taken in the Gunners side with William Gallas currently holding that number.
"I would prefer my present No.10 but in the team where I hope to move it's not vacant. So I'm ready for any number they are going to offer me," added Arshavin.
