Great Britain's Fed Cup team have routed Luxembourg 3-0 to move to the brink of the qualification for the World Cup Group II play-offs.
Having whitewashed Hungary and Holland on the previous two days of the Europe/Africa Zone group phase in Tallinn, Estonia, Britain's women showed no sign of stopping on Friday.
Mel South made an impressive debut for the week by thumping Fabienne Thill 6-0 6-2 and British number one Anne Keothavong also won in straight sets.
The world number 54 emphatically overcame Mandy Minella 6-1 6-2 to ensure Britain topped Group A.
South and Sarah Borwell were due to return for the doubles but the match was conceded by their opponents Thill and Minella.
Britain, who have yet to drop a set this week, will now take on Poland on Saturday for a place in the World Group II play-offs.
Four teams are in still in contention to reach the play-offs in April, with the winners of the matches between Britain and Poland and Belarus and Estonia taking on the first-round losers of the World Group II ties taking place this weekend.
Poland will be a step up in class for Britain, with Polish number one Agnieszka Radwanska ranked nine in the world.
