Shane Mosley has called out Manny Pacquiao as he looks to become the pound-for-pound king again.
The 37-year-old American has won titles in three weight divisions so far and claimed the WBA super-welterweight title with a ninth-round knockout of Antonio Margarito in January.
Pacquiao, considered the top pound-for-pound fighter in the world, is coming off a second-round knockout of Ricky Hatton in May, meanwhile, and had looked poised to fight the winner of Floyd Mayweather Jr and Juan Manuel Marquez.
But 'Sugar' Shane has now joined the list of challengers, saying he would be willing to compromise on the weight in order to make the fight.
"There are conflicting reports from the Pacquiao camp over an upcoming fight between me and Manny Pacquiao," Mosley said.
"I want it to be known that I want to fight Pacquiao and I want to fight him now. I'm willing to meet at a catch weight to make that happen.
"I know this is what Freddie Roach wants as well. I am the best fighter in boxing and I am ready to reclaim the title of number one pound-for-pound fighter."
Mosley boasts a record of 46 wins, 39 of which came by way of knockout, and five defeats against Pacquiao's 49 wins, 37 by KO, three defeats and two draws.
