Kanu: New deal
Portsmouth have confirmed Nwankwo Kanu has signed a one-month deal with the Premier League club.
Veteran Nigerian Kanu has been in talks with Pompey since his previous contract expired at the end of last season.
The former Arsenal attacker has now agreed a short-term deal and is in contention to feature in his side's opening game of the new term against Fulham.
Kanu, 33, joined Pompey from West Brom on a free transfer in 2006 and has since scored 21 goals in 94 appearances.
