Manchester City are pondering establishing a partnership with French side AC Arles-Avignon, according to the Ligue 2 club's president.

AC Arles surpremo Jean-Marc Conrad claims he has met with City officials to discuss a link up between the two clubs.

More talks are due to take place this week as cash-rich City look to possibly make AC Arles their feeder club.

Conrad insists a deal is far from being agreed between both parties.

"At present we have met several times but nothing has yet been settled," Conrad told Le Dauphine Libere.

"We have agreed that Manchester City representatives will come visit our facilities, this will happen on Thursday.

"But it is still too early to talk about a partnership."

ACA were promoted from the third division last season and are currently eighth in Ligue 2.

If a deal were to be agreed it could see City have first choice on any promising youngsters at AC Arles, while also farming out some of their young players to the French club.
