Tony McCoy has been elected as a director and joint-president of the Professional Jockeys Association.
The 14-times champion jump jockey, 35, resigned from the position of joint-president last year over the handling of the appointment of the association's new medical advisor.
However, he has now resumed the role, much to the delight of the PJA.
"It is brilliant to have Tony McCoy back on the board," stated PJA chief executive Kevin Darley.
"AP is held in great respect by everyone in the horse racing industry and beyond, and this is a very positive moment for the PJA."
McCoy added: "I am delighted that the members of the PJA have voted for me to rejoin the board."
The organisation's annual general meeting was held at Warwick on Wednesday.
