Drogba: Suffering with chest injury
Didier Drogba has pulled out of the Ivory Coast squad for the World Cup qualifier with Guinea but could face Germany in a friendly on Wednesday.
The Chelsea striker is thought to be struggling with the chest injury he picked up against Manchester United on Sunday when he received a kick to the chest from Jonny Evans.
The 31-year-old stayed in London for treatment and with the Ivory Coast already qualified for South Africa next summer has been given the day off for the clash with Guinea on Saturday.
Drogba could join up with his international team-mates in time for the clash with Germany next week in Gelsenkirchen where his fitness will be assessed.
Marseille striker Bakary Kone is also missing through injury for the meeting with Guinea in Abidjan.
