Robinho: Ankle problem
Manchester City manager Mark Hughes is refusing to 'close the door' on the chances of Robinho making his return from injury in the trip to Liverpool.
Hughes' side travel to Anfield on 21st November and the Brazil international could be involved as City take on their rivals for a place in the Premier League's top four.
Robinho, who is being persistently linked with Barcelona, has not played since injuring his ankle on international duty in September.
But Hughes believes the former Real Madrid star could play a part against Liverpool after he flew from City's training base in Abu Dhabi to join Brazil ahead of Saturday's friendly with England in Qatar.
Hughes, who is expecting Robinho back in Abu Dhabi at some point over the next two days, said: "I wouldn't close the door on it.
"He probably needs a couple of weeks to get up to speed before he is considered for selection and I would imagine the Liverpool game will be too close.
"It would be a big ask, but we will see how he goes next week."
