Berbatov: Fit again
Manchester United striker Dimitar Berbatov has confirmed he is back to fitness following a short lay-off with a knee injury.
Berbatov has missed United's last two matches after taking a knock to his knee during the 2-0 home win over Blackburn Rovers at the end of last month.
He sat out the 3-3 draw with CSKA Moscow in the UEFA Champions League and was also absent for the 1-0 defeat at Premier League leaders Chelsea before the international break.
However, the 28-year-old has now shaken off the problem and is expecting to play for Bulgaria in Wednesday's friendly against Malta.
"I received a kick in my knee during the Blackburn match and I needed some rest and some treatment, but I'm okay now and I'll play in Malta," Berbatov told reporters.
Providing Berbatov comes through the midweek fixture unscathed, he will be back in United's plans for Saturday's game at home to Everton.
Meanwhile, Berbatov is hoping to equal Hristo Bonev's record of 47 goals for Bulgaria in the friendly against Malta.
He added: "I'm thinking about it (the record), of course. I've scored many goals so far and I hope that with the help of my team-mates I'll do it."
