Robinho: Santa Cruz revelation
Roque Santa Cruz has revealed Manchester City team-mate Robinho has spoken of his desire to join Barcelona.
The 25-year-old Brazilian has been the subject of constant speculation linking him with a move to Camp Nou in recent weeks, although neither club has confirmed that talks have been held.
Robinho's Paraguayan team-mate Santa Cruz admitted that the Samba star has openly talked of his desire to move, and that the players even make jokes about it in the City dressing room.
"Of course he talks to us about it," Santa Cruz told Catalunya Radio. "And the players are cracking jokes about it in the dressing room.
"In the English papers there's a lot of interest about Barca and Robinho is not hiding his desire to play for them one day.
"But I guess we'll see. It wouldn't be difficult (for him).
"To add a talent like Robinho to the quality of players they have would give a different air to Barca because he's got great ability and is a player who pleases crowds because of the way he plays.
"A player that good wouldn't have any problems being part of that side."
Robinho signed at Eastlands last year for a British record fee of £32.5million but has had a frustrating spell this term because of injury.
Mark Hughes's Blues side have made an excellent start to the Premier League campaign and may feel they can cope without the former Real Madrid attacker.
Robinho has only made three appearances so far this season, against Blackburn and Wolves in the league and against Crystal Palace in the Carling Cup.
