Jovanovic: In-demand
Skysports.com understands Everton and Birmingham are preparing to battle it out for Serbian star Milan Jovanovic.
Jovanovic has been linked with a move to England for some time after catching the eye for club and country over the last few seasons.
The 28-year-old has impressed against the likes of Liverpool, Everton and Arsenal in European competition for Standard Liege in the last 12 months and a number of clubs are keeping tabs on his situation.
Everton have held a long-term interest in Jovanovic, while Birmingham are thought to be in the market for a new forward in the January transfer window.
Toffees boss David Moyes and Birmingham chief Alex McLeish were interested observers as Serbia beat South Korea 1-0 at Craven Cottage on Wednesday and Jovanovic was thought to be the subject of their focus.
Jovanovic is out of contract at Liege at the end of the season and they could be open to selling the forward in January rather than risk losing him for nothing next summer.
