Murray: Tough opener
Andy Murray has been paired against US Open champion Juan Martin del Potro for the opening match of the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals in London on Sunday.
The British No.1 has also been pooled with Roger Federer and Fernando Verdasco in Group A of the eight-man event at the O2 Arena.
Murray, a semi-finalist in 2008, has won four of his five meetings against the Argentinean, including beating del Potro in the Montreal Masters final in August.
Federer and Verdasco go head-to-head in Sunday late game, with the players in Group B - Rafael Nadal, Robin Soderling, Novak Djokovic and Nikolay Davydenko - kicking off their challenges on Monday.
Nadal launches his bid against late entrant Soderling, while defending champion Djokovic will take on Davydenko.

Russell Hallam says...
Murray should have a chance, but this year in the Majors he really has failed to deliver. This is his chance to make his mark for what could be a change in the old guard next year. Federer has excelled to reach some major historic goals, but when faced with penultimate challenges where major opposition stood between him and history, he also failed to come up with the goods - the Autralian Open Final v Nadal and US Open Final v Del Potro spring to mind. Nadal with 'burn out' injuries and personal issues also has a point to prove, with inform player Djokovic in a position to open the new year as World Number 2. Verdasco and Soderling will pose a threat, but I would envisage the World ATP Top 4 battling it out in the Semis and the Final. Home soil should inspire Murray, but I envisage a Federer Djokovic final which could go wither way. A call tournament to keep your eyes peeled in what could be an indication of things to come for 2010!
