Terry: Belief is back
Chelsea skipper John Terry claims the Blues are now regarded as a fearsome proposition by rival clubs.
Carlo Ancelotti's side have made a bright start to the 2009/10 campaign, with promising progress made on all fronts.
The West London outfit sit proudly atop the Premier League table, have reached the quarter-finals of the Carling Cup and are already assured of a place in the last 16 of the UEFA Champions League.
Their next four fixtures are all out on the road - at Porto, Arsenal, Blackburn and Manchester City - but club captain Terry insists Chelsea head into the daunting run full of confidence.
"We know here what it takes to win major titles, and we need to produce that now," said Terry.
"It takes winning runs. It takes periods when you keep on top, striding from result to result. Good performances, strong performances, dogged performances, and everyone in the squad playing their part.
"When we are away with England, players from other teams tell us they are fearing us again. We have got a good chance of going on to do great things this year.
"We did have that when we won the Premier League year after year (under Jose Mourinho). It is key we get that back.
"We have had a good start in the Champions League and the Premier League but we are not getting carried away with the situation at the moment. We did the same last year and sort of threw it away around the Christmas period.
"We certainly don't want to do that this time around. Since the manager has come in he has seen a squad of hungry players who are willing to fight for their place and each other.
"It's four away games in a row. That's the challenge major title-winning teams rise to.
"Porto in the Champions League. If we win, we win the group with a game to go. Not many teams win in Porto but we can do it.
"Arsenal and Manchester City in the league - two teams with real aspirations this season.
"Manchester City are serious top-four contenders and, like Porto, are a very strong home team. We have a great record there and these are the games when we can really make the difference.
"There's also Blackburn away in the Carling Cup, in between Arsenal and City. A victory and we are through to the semi-finals."

i think that chelsea could win everything this season because they are playing some very good football and i don't think man utd can keep up with them. if chelsea do win everything then i belive they would have deserved it it because you carn't win the prem or the champions league playing poorly. goodluck to chelsea but be carful because man utd will be there to pick up the pieces if chelsea fail.

John terrry is the most down to earth player ever.... he is so nice and genunine. He is such a good player and a amazing captian- he what the premier league and champions league title so bad as do the rest of the team and supporters. I think chelsea can do really well this year and I would be so happy if they won the premier league.

Chelsea look stronger than ever this year. They would have crushed Man U in the Champions League Final last season hadn't it been for a certain fellow Norwegian in the semi-finals... I would be very surpised if Chelsea don't win the Premier League and/or the Champions League this season. Go Blues!
