World golf number one Woods has been issued a traffic citation for careless driving and a $164 fine by the Florida Highway Patrol as a response to his one-car accident in the early hours of last Friday morning.
FHP public affairs officer Sergeant Kim Montes confirmed that the 33-year-old would not face any criminal charge.
Former US Open champion Ogilvy, who has been playing partner to Woods in several tournaments over the past few years, believes the world number one copes remarkably well with being in the spotlight and is keen for him to return to the game.
"It's an incredible life that he has," said Ogilvy.
"He's been in a fishbowl before he turned pro - or the instant he turned pro - I wouldn't want that existence that he's got, it's pretty tough.
"He's obviously finding out how big a star he is.
"It's an interesting situation he finds himself in and hopefully it goes away and we get back to watching him play golf."
World number 13 Ogilvy will receive his own taster of being tournament favourite on Thursday as he carries local hopes in the Australian Open.
The 32-year-old believes his form is good enough for him to lift the Stonehaven Cup.
"There's a lot of good players (but) if I play well I feel I've got a pretty good chance to be up there. If I don't play well I won't be," he said.
"I'm playing well enough to do well. I feel decent about my chances and I don't feel under any pressure."
