Connections of Go Native could be forgiven for being more nervous than usual as the horse bids for a £1m bonus in Tuesday's Smurfit Kappa Champion Hurdle.

The Irish raider has already won the Fighting Fifth and Christmas Hurdles and a hat-trick would see sponsor WBX.com stump up the extra cash.

Noel Meade's charge travelled over to Cheltenham at the weekend and the trainer reports his horse to be in good order as he looks to become the first since Bula in 1970-71 to win the Supreme and Champion Hurdles in consecutive years.

"Everything is good, the horse travelled great, he's in great order and I couldn't be happier with him," said Meade.

"It's all systems go. He looked great this morning, he had a little breeze out on the track and he was nice and fresh.

"His last piece of work was pretty good all right, we were very happy with it."
