Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti had no complaints after his side were beaten by Inter Milan at Stamford Bridge.

The Italian champions deservedly booked their place in the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League thanks to a 79th-minute winner from Samuel Eto'o.

Inter were 2-1 up after the first leg and Ancelotti - formerly coach of Inter's rivals AC Milan - believed Jose Mourinho's side had deserved to win.

He told Sky Sports: "I think we played better in the first game and now were not able to repeat the same play, so Inter deserve to win.

"Congratulations to Inter."

He added: "I think we didn't play how we wanted to. Inter put some pressure on our midfield and we had a lot of difficulty playing.

"Inter played a very good game, strong in defence, good on the counter-attack, and we didn't play how we wanted."

The Italian refused to comment on his side's unsuccessful penalty appeals in the first period or Didier Drogba's red card for stamping on Thiago Motta late on.
