Bolton manager Owen Coyle is not ruling out injured defender Gary Cahill making a surprise return against Everton this weekend.
It had initially been thought Cahill could miss the remainder of the season after being diagnosed with a blood clot in his left arm in early February.
However, those early fears were tempered and Cahill recently returned to training, with Coyle impressed by the 24-year-old's high level of play.
The Trotters boss has hinted the former Aston Villa man could feature at Goodison Park on Saturday should he continue his improving levels of fitness.
Uncapped Cahill has a chance of making Fabio Capello's squad for South Africa and Coyle believes his return to fitness will also benefit England.
"He has trained ever so well, to a very high standard of which I have come to expect of him. I have been delighted," said Coyle.
"Saturday might be too soon for him but he is continuing in the right direction.
"That is a tremendous boost for Gary, the club and I would suggest England.
"It is up to him once he is back in a Bolton shirt to show his qualities and take it from there."
