Wolves boss Mick McCarthy has confirmed that veteran defender Jody Craddock has been offered a new deal.

The 34-year-old, who is currently the club's longest serving player, is out of contract this summer.

McCarthy insists that he wants Craddock to stay regardless of which division the club finds themselves in next season.

Wolves are currently battling to save their Premier League status and McCarthy has been pleased with Craddock's efforts to date.

New deal

"I can tell how highly I rate Jody Craddock by the fact that we've offered him a new deal," McCarthy told the club's official website.

"We want him to sign irrespective of where we are.

"I held my hands up when I sent him out to Stoke on loan when I thought he wasn't playing well enough.

"He came back, got himself in the side and has been a virtual ever present ever since."
