William Buick is set to ride Ortensia and Nathaniel in their respective Group One assignments in England and Ireland on Saturday.

John Gosden's stable jockey has built up a good relationship with Paul Messara's Ortensia this summer, winning at Goodwood and York, but had a logistical conundrum to solve this weekend.

The Betfred Sprint Cup at Haydock is due to go off at 15.25 BST with the Red Mills Irish Champion Stakes scheduled for 17.45, leaving Buick with little time to travel from England to Leopardstown.

But he now seems set for a dream Saturday as he told Racing UK: "I've been asked questions about it all week but up until now I genuinely didn't know, but now it's looking very possible.

"I'll be getting a helicopter from Haydock to Leopardstown and I'm looking forward to it. They are two fantastic horses."
