Chelsea captain John Terry was named in the starting line-up for the Capital One Cup match against Wolves on Tuesday.

Terry had been at the Football Association's Wembley headquarters earlier in the day to answer a charge of using racist language during a Premier League game at Loftus Road last October.

The case will continue into a third day on Wednesday and Terry - who announced his decision to retire from England duty on Sunday evening - was expected to sit out the visit of Championship side Wolves to Stamford Bridge.

But Chelsea manager Roberto di Matteo instead named his skipper in the starting line-up for the third-round fixture.

Terry was joined in the starting XI by debutants Cesar Azpilicueta and Lucas Piazon, as well as Victor Moses and Oriol Romeu.
