West Bromwich Albion midfielder Scott Allan has joined MK Dons on a 28-day youth loan.

The 20-year-old former Dundee United player joined the Premier League Baggies in January 2012.

Allan then spent the second half of last season on loan at Portsmouth and he has now made another temporary move away from West Brom.

The Scot had been close to a move to Crystal Palace in the summer and when that fell through he said he remained keen on another switch elsewhere.

Allan is now joining the League One Dons, who sit fourth in the table after eight matches and host Crewe Alexandra on Saturday afternoon.

West Brom said on their official Twitter account: "Central midfielder Scott Allan has today joined League One promotion chasers MK Dons on a 28-day youth loan."
