Sheffield Wednesday manager Dave Jones admitted he was left feeling deflated despite seeing his side end a run of six straight defeats in all competitions.

The Owls came from behind on three occasions to earn a 3-3 draw, despite Charlie Austin scoring a hat-trick for Burnley.

"I thought we deserved to win. We have had 15 shots to their six or seven and I think if we had defended a little bit better then we may have a little bit more but I can't fault them," he said.

"We conceded goals when we were on top but we took the game to them straight away. We cannot keep getting done by the goals we are getting done by.

"We came back and kept scrapping and fighting but we just needed to get our noses in front and we missed a couple of great chances before they scored.

"That is how tough this division is - you need to take your chances.

"Someone just said to me that it must be nice to get the monkey off my back but I had 26 games carrying the monkey around when we hadn't lost but now we are talking about another monkey on my back."
