Jermaine Jones: Hopes to end his career playing in the MLS
Schalke's USA international midfielder Jermaine Jones envisages finishing his career playing Major League Soccer.
The 30-year-old, who has been with Schalke since June 2007, has a deal with the Bundesliga outfit until June 2014.
Jones would like to stay with Schalke until 2016 before then playing in the MLS.
The former Blackburn Rovers loanee told Sport-BILD weekly: "I already told (Schalke general manager) Horst Heldt I am very well able to imagine playing four more years at Veltins-Arena with Schalke.
"I think that I do not have the desire to move on within Europe and to retire from Bundesliga at Schalke.
"I have two years left on my current deal, I would be out to sign for two more years. In 2016 I would like to reside in my house in Los Angeles, living in the United States and still playing football there."
Jones, who was born in Frankfurt and has a father from the United States, featured in three friendly matches for Germany before making use of the citizenship of his father to go on to play for the United States.
He played for Blackburn on loan from January-June 2011 after falling out of favour with then Schalke manager Felix Magath.
