Long-serving Eintracht Frankfurt goalkeeper Oka Nikolov says he understands his time at the German club is coming to an end.
The Macedonia international, 38, has been ousted from Frankfurt's first-team by summer signing Kevin Trapp and his current contract is set to expire next summer.
Trapp, 22, joined the club from Bundesliga rivals Kaiserslautern and has instantly grabbed the No.1 jersey.
"Itu2019s about facing your final phase as a player, you have to be aware of that. I do not have many years left."

But one-club man Nikolov, who has made almost 400 league appearances for Eintracht, has a pragmatic outlook about his future.
"It's about facing your final phase as a player, you have to be aware of that. I do not have many years left," he said.
"It's a fact this summer I said I would be unable to beat Kevin for the first-team job as goalkeeper. I knew it would be a tough season for me in terms of first-team action. You have to be realistic.
"It has worked out well for Kevin and the whole first team in the current season so far.
"Kevin is a good enough goalkeeper for the first team - his performances have convinced me of that."
