Morecambe youngster Joe Mwasile is set to complete a three-month loan switch to Workington in time for the weekend's match.

The midfielder played in the Shrimps' Lancashire Senior Cup win over Preston on Tuesday afternoon.

Morecambe boss Jim Bentley told the club's official website: "Joe has played a lot of football in the reserves and done well but he needs to be playing every Saturday now in a fully competitive league in front of decent crowds to take the next step in his career.

"Workington are a good club and he will learn a lot from the move."
