Sheffield Steelers won to move back on top of the Elite League on Saturday, while Hull Stingrays and Braehead Clan both posted 4-3 triumphs.
Sheffield Steelers scored a goal in each period and shut out Coventry Blaze to win 3-0 and overtake Belfast, who are on Continental Cup duty this weekend, for first place in the table.
Tom Sistito opened the scoring on the powerplay at 3.27, Steven Goertzen doubled their lead with a strike at 31.57 and a shorthanded goal from Lee Esders at 49.46 sealed the win.
Hull Stingrays edged a seven-goal thriller against Dundee Stars to end an eight game losing run.
Dundee opened the scoring at 7.59 via Billy Bagron but Hull hit back with efforts from Jeff Smith, Jason Silverthorn and a brace from Janis Ozolins, including a powerplay goal, to move into a commanding 4-1 lead.
However, a second goal from Bagron at 44.54 and then a strike from Pat Bowen at 48.30 got the visitors back to within one but the Stingrays held onto take the points.
Braehead Clan also edged a seven goal thriller against Fife Flyers in their Elite League/Challenge Cup Group A encounter, with Drew Miller netting the winning goal inside the last minute of the clash.
Earlier Bobby Chaumont had netted a hat trick to get the home side back into the game, with Casey Haines, John Dolan and Kris Hogg on target for Fife.
