Aberdeen have taken two players on trial this week and plan to open their door to many more over the coming months.

Dons boss Craig Brown will run the rule over goalkeeper Dan Twardzik, who has had spells at Bayern Munich and Karlsruhe and is now at Italian Serie C club Como.

The 21-year-old German has been working with goalkeeping coach Jim Leighton and the Aberdeen squad.

New Zealander Te Atawhai Maurice Hudson Wihangi is also training at Pittodrie, and is a friend of striker Rory Fallon.

A club statement read: "With the January transfer window just around the corner, the manager is constantly reviewing ways in which to develop the current squad and will open the door to a number of trialists over the course of the next few months."
