Sky Sports understands that Tranmere's Zoumana Bakayogo is attracting widespread interest, including a number of Championship clubs.
Bakayogo has been one of Tranmere's star players this season to help Ronnie Moore's side make an excellent start to the League One campaign.
Moore recently paid tribute to the defender's 'fantastic' form, highlighting his defensive improvement as well as his ability to contribute in attack.
The left-back is out of contract at the end of the season and several clubs are thought to be keeping tabs on his progress.
Barnsley and Blackpool are among those believed to be looking at the 26-year-old, as well as both Sheffield clubs.
