Organisers have announced that Golf Course St. Leon-Rot in Germany will host the 2015 Solheim Cup match between Europe and America.
The venue is located near Heidelberg in south-west Germany and has previously played host to the Deutsche Bank SAP Open - a now defunct European Tour event won three times by Tiger Woods.
It will be the first time the event has been held on German soil, with Sweden (twice) the only other country to stage the event outside of the British Isles or America.
Europe currently hold the trophy after their dramatic comeback victory at Killeen Castle in Ireland last year.
"We are delighted to be taking The 2015 Solheim Cup to Germany and to Golf Club St. Leon-Rot who have such a strong international reputation," stated Alexandra Armas, executive director of the Ladies European Tour.
German player Sandra Gal, a member of the victorious 2011 European side, added: "I can't wait for Germany to host the 2015 Solheim Cup.
"It will be a fantastic experience for our golf in Germany and its upcoming talents to witness the excitement of such a prestigious event like the Solheim Cup. I am sure my home country will be a great host."
