Paul Smith and Tony Dodson are poised to fight for a second time after British super-middleweight champion Kenny Anderson relinquished the belt.
Smith defeated Dodson in a bloody battle for the title in 2010 but subsequently lost to James DeGale and later to George Groves.
Dodson has not fought at the 168lb limit since his points loss to Smith, suffering a third round knockout against Commonwealth light-heavyweight champion last year.
Purse bids for the fight are due on March 13 with the contest to take place by the end of May.
Anderson won the vacant title against Robin Reid last year but has vacated due to personal reasons.
Purse bids are also due on the same date for the English bantamweight title between James Dickens and Gavin McDonnell.
The British Board of Control had ordered Dickens to fight Sheffield-based Kid Galahad but the latter opted not to take the fight.
