Sky Sports understands Stevenage are set to sign Notts County midfielder Gavin Mahon on loan.
Stevenage boss Gary Smith is keen to bolster his squad and has lined up a deal for experienced midfielder Mahon.
Mahon has found himself down the pecking order at Meadow Lane this season, making just six starts in all competitions this term.
County are willing to let the former Queens Park Rangers and Watford man move on as he is out of contract at the end of the season.
Mahon could go straight into the Stevenage squad for this weekend's clash with Shrewsbury.
