Lazio president Claudio Lotito is confident his club will hang on to coach Vladimir Petkovic.

The Roman club are currently fourth in Serie A and into the last 16 of the Europa League, but Petkovic has been linked with a move to Borussia Dortmund if their highly-rated coach Jurgen Klopp moves on.

Petkovic joined Lazio in summer 2012, and Lotito does not think the Bosnian is looking to leave.

"Petkovic is under contract with us, and I consider him to be a good person, a serious professional," said Lotito.

"I don't think he is feeling badly at Lazio, and I don't see why he would want to leave.

"We are ready to extend his deal. I would like to end the habit of people contacting players or coaches under contract, because these are not sport's values. The important thing is that rules are always respected."
