Nottingham Panthers remain just two points ahead of the Belfast Giants at the top of the Elite League after both teams won on Friday night.

The Panthers eased past the struggling Dundee Stars 4-1 as goals from David Clarke, David Ling and Josh Ward put them in control in the second period.

That made it five wins in a row for the league leaders, a run the Giants matched after edging out the Cardiff Devils 5-4 at home thanks to third period goals from Kevin Saurette and Robby Sandrock.

Nottingham travel to Fife on Saturday, while Belfast host Cardiff.
