Baltimore Ravens have agreed a deal to make Joe Flacco the highest paid player in NFL history, according to multiple reports in America.
The NFL's official website says quarterback Flacco will sign a six-year contract worth more than $120 million.
Flacco, who led the Ravens to Super Bowl glory last season and was eligible to become an unrestricted free agent, is expected to finalise his new terms on March 4.
If the reported figures are correct, the 28-year-old's contract will surpass New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees as the league's most lucrative.
Brees inked a $100m, five-year agreement - $60m of which was guaranteed - with the Saints last year.
