Puffin Billy has pleased Oliver Sherwood in a home gallop

Trainer Oliver Sherwood was "absolutely delighted" with Puffin Billy after he sparkled in a gallop at home.
Although Sherwood's stable star lost his unbeaten record to Melodic Rendezvous at Exeter in February, a genuine excuse emerged when he was found to have pus in a foot.
Puffin Billy had the Supreme Novices' Hurdle as a genuine aim for most of the season but the Upper Lambourn handler has come down in favour of the longer Neptune Investment Management Novices' Hurdle.
"I didn't take him anywhere in the end after it was frozen off on Sunday," said Sherwood.
"We just brought him home - it wasn't a fitness issue with him, we just wanted to take him out.
"He worked super (on Tuesday morning), I was absolutely delighted with him.
"It's all systems go for the Neptune now."
