Nicola Adams targets more gold glory at next year's Commonwealth Games

Olympic gold medallist Nicola Adams is happy to be a standard bearer for women's boxing and hopes to complete a double at next year's Commonwealth Games.
Adams became the first female boxer to be crowned as Olympic champion in August when she defeated China's Cancan Ren in the flyweight final in London.
The same three weight categories will be contested in Glasgow as women's boxing makes its debut in the Games and Adams is driven by the desire to land another gold.
"It's great to be breaking down barriers and blazing away, helping to make history as I go along," she said. "I want to be the first woman to do the Olympic and Commonwealth double.
"I was banging on the door for so many years so I will never tire of all the opportunities that come my way. I've still got a lot to prove to myself before I can say I'm totally finished."
Adams will be hot favourite following her Olympic triumph, but the 30-year-old is taking nothing for granted and expects a determined response from her rivals.
"People say I'm going to be one of the stars of the Games and it's nice to be appreciated in that way, but really I'm just looking forward to boxing in Scotland for the first time," she said.
"My Olympic gold medal won't mean anything when I get in the ring. All the other girls will want to beat me and there will be some great fighters at my weight. I will just take the competition one fight at a time like I always do."
