The Oklahoma City Thunder held their nerve to register their sixth win in seven games with a 95-94 victory over the New York Knicks.

Kevin Durant landed 34 points, including the decisive go-ahead free throws with 1:38 remaining, to help the Thunder to victory.

However the Knicks had their chances late on, with JR Smith missing a three-point chance before hitting hit the rim from 20-feet as the buzzer sounded.

Smith finished with 36 points in total but it was all in vain.

The Denver Nuggets came on strong in the third quarter to secure a 107-92 victory over the LA Clippers.

The game had been tied at 49-49, however Denver were able to pull away after half-time en route to their seventh successive win. Ty Lawson weighed in with 21 points, while Danilo Gallinari picked up 20.

The Clippers had been on a five-game winning streak on the road, but 19 points from Matt Barnes and 17 from Blake Griffin were not enough.
