The Philadelphia Eagles opened free agency on Tuesday by signing five players, including tight end James Casey and safety Patrick Chung.

Former Houston Texans man Casey and ex-New England Patriots player Chung has both agreed three-year contracts.

Nose tackle Isaac Sopoaga has also agreed a three-year deal after leaving the San Francisco 49ers.

Joining the trio are linebacker Jason Phillips from the Carolina Panthers and former St Louis Rams cornerback Bradley Fletcher.

The Eagles are still well under the salary cap after they released cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha two years into a five-year deal.
