BBL: Sheffield were impressive winners at Plymouth on Sunday

Demetrius Jemison's 31 points helped One Health Sharks Sheffield underline their BBL Championship credentials with an impressive 86-78 victory at Plymouth University Raiders.

The Sharks had trailed by 16 points in the second quarter but gradually worked their way back into the game before taking control in the fourth quarter to move to the top of the table.

Sharks took the lead for good at 72-71 on a Mike Tuck two and back-to-back threes by BJ Holmes and Olu Babalola gave the visitors and 82-73 advantage from which Raiders couldn't recover.

Esh Group Newcastle Eagles turned in an impressive second half performance to win their north-east battle 90-75 against Durham Wildcats.

Scott Martin's 21 points led the way for the Eagles as Fab Flournoy's team won the second half by 16 points to keep the pressure on at the top of the BBL Championship.

London Lions maintained their impressive start to the season with a comfortable 101-72 victory over Birmingham Knights.

Ben Smith led the way for the Lions with 22 points as London led for all but the first basket of the game.

Thirty-one points by Reggie Middleton and 27 from Dominique Coleman provided the backbone of Cheshire Phoenix's 96-63 over Surrey United.

The pair were in unstoppable form all evening at the Northgate Arena in Chester as Phoenix moved level on points with Durham Wildcats and Glasgow Rocks, who are seventh in the BBL Championship.

Surrey's offence was led by Ceslovas Kucinskas (21) but they've now lost their first 13 matches in the BBL Championship.

There were no shortage of big performances for Manchester Giants as they beat Glasgow Rocks 98-87.

Captain James Jones played all 40 minutes and had a double-double of 15 points and 11 assists.

David Aliu also didn't miss a second as scored 24 points to tie an exceptional shooting night from Stefan Gill who made seven of nine from the floor including four three pointers, and also made all six of his free throws.

David Watts also record a double-double of 12 points and 10 rebounds.
