John Ferguson's exciting Flat recruit Dubai Prince could make his second start over hurdles at Kempton on Boxing Day.

The five-year-old beat Side Glance in the Group Three Strensall Stakes at York in August of last year and is officially rated 114 on the level.

He could not have been more impressive when jumping fluently on his way to a comfortable winning debut over obstacles at Leicester last month and is now set for a second start over the festive period.

Although he holds an entry in the Grade One Paddy Power Future Champions Novice Hurdle at Leopardstown on Friday week, the William Hill - In The App Store Novices' Hurdle Race is his intended target.

Ferguson said: "He is in entered at Leopardstown, but I think it is more likely he will head to Kempton on Boxing Day instead."

Ferguson also had news of Mijhaar, another horse with a three-figure Flat mark who looked the part on his recent hurdling bow at Doncaster.

"Mijhaar is fine and he might go to Newbury on the 28th (of December). There is an introductory hurdle there, so that might be a nice option for him, but we'll see," said the trainer.

Dubai Prince is quoted at 20/1 by the sponsors for the Sky Bet Supreme Novices' Hurdle at Cheltenham in March with his stablemate available at 25/1 with the same firm.
