Worcester fly-half Paul Warwick has revealed the good news that he appears to have escaped serious injury after he was carried off during the 21-3 Amlin Challenge Cup defeat at Sale Sharks on Friday night.

The game at the AJ Bell Stadium was delayed for 18 minutes while Warwick received treatment for a neck injury before he was taken to hospital.

But the 33-year-old Australia-born player, who joined Worcester from French club Stade Francais last year, has given an encouraging update.

Warwick wrote on Twitter: "Really appreciate all the concern! Very much precaution I think, but as always thank you to all involved in taking care of me!"

Sale set up a probable Pool One decider against Biarritz in France next Saturday with the win.
