The League Two clash between Northampton and Rochdale at Sixfields has been postponed because of a waterlogged pitch.

Local referee Andy Woolmer inspected the surface on Tuesday morning after recent heavy rain and found it to be unplayable.

The game was set to be Chris Wilder's first in charge of the Cobblers but he must now wait until Saturday's trip to Cheltenham.

No new date has yet been set for the rearranged fixture.
