Sheffield Wednesday have been dealt an injury blow with the news that midfielder Jose Semedo faces up to two months on the sidelines.

Semedo fell awkwardly whilst making a challenge during the Championship defeat to Wigan on Tuesday night.

Wednesday's head physiotherapist Paul Smith told the club's official website that the 29-year-old suffered a double leg injury.

Smith said: "Semi has fractured his fibula and also has ligament damage.

"He will see the surgeon in London on Friday and we expect him to be out for six to eight weeks."
