Late goals from Pierrick Valdivia and Jean-Philippe Gbamin earned Lens a Coupe de France quarter-final tie with Monaco after a 2-1 win at Lyon.

Jimmy Briand opened the scoring for Lyon after eight minutes when he headed in a cross from Miguel Lopes.

But Lens left it until late to equalise when Valdivia scored from the penalty spot in second half injury time.

Gbamin added a second early in the first period of extra-time and Lens held on to earn a trip to face Monaco.
