Huddersfield full-back Scott Grix has been fined £300 after admitting striking Hull captain Gareth Ellis during his side's 30-6 defeat by the Black and Whites in last week's Super League clash.

Grix, who pleaded guilty to the grade A offence when he appeared in front of a Rugby Football League disciplinary panel, was also issued with warning letter but avoided a ban.

It means he is free to continue his ever-present record in 2014 when the Giants go to Salford on Good Friday.
