Hasselbaink: Facing Campbell battle
Cardiff City and Portsmouth are preparing to lock horns in the FA Cup final and we would like your thoughts ahead of the Wembley showdown.
Can Cardiff cause an FA Cup upset or will Pompey's Premier League quality show through?
Who will be the big game players on either side? Can Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink roll back the years for the Bluebirds or will the evergreen Sol Campbell prove too strong for him?
Do you think this year's competition has rebuilt some of the romance of the FA Cup?

I think that if Cardiff win, it will be better for the sport than to have Portsmouth win it. It will show that anything for anyteam is possible and not only the big teams will win everything. In American Sports leagues like the NFL, any team can win the superbowl, i mean the patriots were the favorite the whole year but one game changed everything. Its unpredictable and that adds to the excitement. In England you can easily guarantee in most years that Man U, Chelsea or Arsenal will win any competition. I realize that portsmouth is not one of those teams but they are more of a 2nd class team right behind them. With Tottenham winning the Carling Cup, and hopefully Cardiff winning the FA cup; the sport will grow in a sense that anything is possible and not only the big teams will always win everything.

Pompey will win, due to superior strength and pace. Cardiff has had the easiest teams to play against to get to the final.

Good luck Cardiff, would be nice to see a cup final upset. Would love to see the legend that is Robbie Fowler get the winning goal! He really deserves one more moment of glory!

pompey to win 3 0. Hasselbaink may be good, or was, but he is up against best defence in the premier league so i doubt he'll get through. Kanu will slaughter the defence, holding up ball for Kranjcar to score 1, score 1 himself and Papa will get one, at last

I'm nervous as think it could go either way. As much as Pompey should have the better quality we haven't been showing it of late, coming into the final in awful form. I also struggle to see where a goal will come from. We all know that the Cardiff players will raise their game an extra 10% (or more) and they have no pressure coming into it as the underdogs. I watched them completely out play Middlesborough in the cup so am aware of what they can do on their day. They've a good mix of old pros and energetic youngsters too. Give JFH a chance and he'll work the keeper. My hope is that Pompey can defend solidly and then, when we're given a chance, take it. I certainly don't expect one team to waltz it either way. Whatever happens both clubs should be extremely proud that their team made it to the final and I'm sure the fans will enjoy the day in fantastic Wembley without the need to cause trouble and get the headlines for the wrong reasons, as happended in Manchester earlier in the week.

Lets hope its a good final for the neutrals. Both teams can play, its whether than can do it in the big stage. Pompey almost bottled it in the Semi's. My money is on Cardiff as they won't bottle it!!!

My heart and head says a Cardiff City win. Maybe a biased view but Im certainly optimistic as I cant see where Portsmouth are going to get goals from (touch wood). If Defoe was available my prediction would of been to sit on the fence. The sole Portsmouth player I am worried about is Nico Kranjcar who is simply a class act, he can score, assist and dictate the play so the Cardiff City central midfield pairing need to pay special attention to him. Cardiff City players need to fight for every ball and feel with a high tempo for 90 minutes they will reap the rewards with a fine Joe Ledley set piece and Roger Johnson thumping header hitting the back of the net. Portsmouth 0 - Cardiff City 1.

Portsmouth will buckle under the pressure and Cardiff will will the game easily. Fowler to come on from the subs bench and win the game 2-0. Ledley getting us off the mark. Come on!

Let's face it, there's not a single Cardiff player at the moment that would make it into the Pompey squad - including Aaron Ramsey or Hasselbaink. Cardiff's done reasonably well to get this far but they've had by far the easiest run. They've not been tested and underdogs or not the occasion will be too much for them. The only way Cardiff will win is if Pompey don't play well. Pompey only need to play reasonably well to brush Cardiff aside, and that's exactly what will happen. Harry wants the cup and he'll make sure Pompey will win it, loss of form recently or not.

I think we'll do it and the decisive factor will be Paul Parry. I hope David James is in goal for Pompey because all of the chasing and the pressure Parry puts on opposing defences it can force them into mistakes and we all know James as well as being brick wall at times, he can be as thick as a brick and let an absolute howler in. Paul Parry is my shout after a defensive blunder from Portsmouth, tight affair; 1-0 City. Portsmouth have no pace to trouble our back four (Capaldi usually makes a hache of something though). I'm not worried about Kanu or Baros or any other of the Pompey line-up. Maybe Kranjcar but Ledley is just as good and has pace so i'm not too worried. COME ON BLUEBIRDS! COME ON SUPPORT THE BOYS AND MAKE SOME NOISE!

Portsmouth definitely have more quality in their team than we do but they don't seem to perform too well when they are the favourites - just look at the semi against West Brom. Pompey were completely outplayed by the Championship team then, with only their defence to thank for them going through. It is just a onw off game so anything can happen. My head says 2-0 pompey but my heart says 1-0 city! Come on Bluebirds!!!

Pompey definitely have the quality to beat Cardiff, but we've squandered so so many goal scoring opportunities this season, I'm worried that Cardiff may get just a couple of chances, and thats all Hasselbaink will need. On a different note if the Cardiff FA helped out their side and allowed Purse to play, why can't the english FA allow Defoe to play in the final??

Chris Cotterell (Portsmouth fan) says...
As a Pompey fan i'd expect us to beat them fairly easily due to the talent we have compared to Cardiff. But this is the FA Cup and i think all that will be thrown out the window and it will come down to who will want it more. From what i've seen of Cardiff this season they've played good football and that worries me as i'm failing to see where goals will come from. Baros has been persistant but struggling, especially versus West Brom, he had some golden opportunities but failed to take them. If we had Defoe playing i'd claim a Pompey victory. But it's just too close to call. I just hope that the game is an entertaining one as this FA Cup has really been something special. Lets just hope we don't see a UEFA Cup Final episode after the FA Cup as it's not a good advertisement to the sport or English football in general.

Cardiff may think they have the quality but their league position tells all. They have done excellently in the Cup and we will not take them for granted but Premiership quality will shine through ! 'Arry for the Cup - at last !

Cardiff definitely have the quality to upset Pompey. Hasselbaink may be getting on a bit but he still has a lethal shot on him and if he gets the chance he can bring the cup back to Wales. Come on the Bluebirds!
