Great Britain's Davis Cup fortunes have nosedived in recent years with the team losing their last five matches under John Lloyd.
They stand just one more defeat away from the humiliation of being relegated to the bottom tier of the competition - far from the heady days when Tim Henman and Greg Rusedski thrilled the British public.
Losing to Lithuania earlier this month was the final straw for Lloyd, who fell on his sword on Wednesday.
And while Lawn Tennis Association officials dither over the appointment of a new captain, rumours are already circling that Rusedski is in line for the post.
But will the Canadian-born Brit want the job? And who else is there if Rusedski turns down the offer? Henman is thought not to be interested.
Let us know your thoughts by filling in the box below.

In his last interview (printed on the Sky Web-site) Andy Murray indicated he did not want Greg Rusedski appointed Davis Cup coach. We need Andy's participation, and that should be the most important consideration. Greg Rusedski is thoroughly disliked in Canada for taking their Davis Cup development money, then deciding that by pretending to be a Brit he could make more money here. His mother was born in Britain while her Ukranian family migrated with her to Canada. Thats the only technical connection which allowed his pretence. Lets leave Greg to Dancing on Ice, and have nothing to do with representing this country.

The obvious choice for Team GB is Greg Rusedski. He is already in charge of the GB 16s. He is half - Brit, has loads of experience of Davis Cup and very good results, gained when playing in the top group. He doesn't have the public school image which we have had with previous captains. I have travelled to support the team for many years and have witnessed Greg's committment to the cause. eg his 5 set battle with Jim Courier in Birmingham and his efforts in Casa Blanca in extreme heat to the point of being taken to hospital suffering from dehydrataion. He has amazing PR and people skills. He has played at the highest level is now British through and through. No one could touch him. Let's appoint him now

The only candidate that could do a better job than John Lloyd as Davis Cup captain is Aladdin as he could then enlist the help of his magic lamp. . . . !!

To the Team, Re John Loyd and his replacement - why do we have to be so insular? Go across the 'big pond' and take a look at the Head Coach of University of Tennessee Sam Winterbotham. He's a Brit with a bagful of experience AND he's taken the team to No 2 in the collegiate ranking system; he was voted Coach of the Year in 2008. He is hugely experienced in the USA collegiate system - the breeding ground of tennis professionals eg John Isner; James Blake.
