What poor sportmanship from Kevin Peterson, his words of saying that they needed the money more than them is sour grapes.I think an apology is needed.I am a very proud Trinidadian and that was said in bad taste. He could not have made the South African team in there worst day. Finally he was lucky it was not the West Indies team otherwise they would have gotten a proper hiding.Well done the Stanford Superstars 20-20 is here to stay in the West Indies.

Very annoyed at KP rushing out his well rehearsed speech of excuses. He had a significant input into selection .. obviously .. and made countless errorrs by backing his "cosy" England squad. The lads who starred in Twenty20 in 2008 : Mascarenhas, Denly, Napier, Malan, Foster .. where were they ??? More significantly .. those I have mentioned play through the "V" when batting. (As did Gayle and Fletcher) How were the cream out ? Prior, Pietersen, Shah, Flintoff .. playing across the line. Say no more.

If you look at the team that England took, you can see that they are all very good ODI players. However, they are not twenty20 players. I was surprised by the decision to play bell over bopara, who has shown he can play twenty20 cricket for Essex. Apart from KP, Prior, Flintoff, Broad, Wright and maybe anderson, the rest should be looked at.

England didnt deserve to win anyway, why did they play in a tournament that was for county teams? Imagine if the Australian team played against those sub-standard teams.... they'd be millionaires right now...

20/20 Cricket Match in Antigua As usual the british are a bunch of SORE LOSERS!!.Even before the match on Saturday an excuse was already prepared and then Kevin Pieterson has the audicity to say or imply that west indians are hungry and "need the money more than I do"? England got beaten fair and square. I am a proud Trinidadian and I am insulted by such a statement by some one who SHOULD be a role modle for the younger generation. He should take that statement back and appoligise to the west indian community... At least we're U$20 million richer and could by more equipment to give England another proper hiding next time around. And why be upset if your wife sits on another mans lap? Obviously he aint doing a good job!!!

Over and over we keep hearing Kp comments and i have to agree with most of you all KP side was under prepared their players chose bad cricketing shot and were plyed by a far better side. Engln were not playing for cricket rather than STANFORD MONEY.....KP you never once acknowledged you were outplayed and outfoxed but chose to say "I am a human being and these guys are fellow professionals - quite a few of them are a lot less privileged than I am - and to see them so happy was wonderful." KP demonstrated aa poor sportsman attitude......come on you are not just a player but a captain abd shud lead by example

this series was a FALIURE. the only reason why its here is becuase ENGLAND IS JEAlOUS OF INDIA HAVING THE IPL. the cricket was poor and it was boring to watch. the atmosphere was like someone had died there. its the worst cricket ive ever seen.

i thought the whole series of cricket was just a greed infested showpiece. the level of cricket was poor and matched by poor leadership from both the captain and the board!

It was real let down by England, England is much better side than west Indies based on recent form and the way final match was played is nor worth a million doller match. Before the start of the series, 20 million doller match was compared with IPL and to Keep England Out of IPL participation by ECB, where does England goes from here?? if they happens to loose next 4 games also?, WI will never make a suitable pitch for england and allow england player to take all the 100 million dollers??? The quality of cricket which IPL offers can never be compared with sub standard Stanford series, it is a wake up time for ECB. if ECB does not allow it player to participate in IPL, and BCCI with its money power can sign a contract with in newly formed ( Aus, SA & NZ Board) southern Vresion of IPL, i guess ECB will become isolated and England version of IPL will be a big flop with out big guns from India and Australia, ........ I suggest ECB to keep your option open and don't be foolish to kill the cricket fans and as i believe KP and flintoff are worthful to get more than 1 million in IPL.

England did not deserve the cavalier treatment they received at the end of the Stanford tournament. Yes they lost, badly, but surely with all the millions spent they could have been acknowledged at the end of the match and presented with a small memento of the event. Losers always get a losers medal. Just to be left sitting in the tent with no word said was a disgrace. They did not deserve to be treated in this way. It demeaned the whole event for me.

Well said Alvin gonzalez. The English team had no excuse as before the match they said they were prepared and ready to go. I'm very disappointed with Kevin Peterson as i expected better sportsmanship from him, they are poor loosers. They took it for granted and they lost, or could it be that we are overating the English team???

Tbh i couldn't care less who won. I was looking forward to a good match that was going to be close. England were appalling and the match was a shambles. Why is everyone still going on about it? Next stop India, bring it on!

Congratulations to the West Indies on a job well done, they worked hard and was rewarded justly. Maybe, next time around England should spend less energy on whinging and more on their performance, bet we'll have even better matches then!!!

from hearing KP and some of your comments i can understand why a lot of people around the world are resistant to cricket calling it an 'elitist' sport. The 3rd world underdogs won the match and what does KP say? He doesnt say they bowled and batted aggressively and clinically. No. He talks about 'nonsense' during the week. What an admission of mental poverty and poor sportsmanship! I dont know how some of you can complain about 'what the americans have done to cricket' This elitist attitude is what has prevented cricket from becoming a truly international sport like football. The english side had more 'stars' than the standford side yet they lost. I feel sorry for the English and their poor attitude. So sorry........

I love to watch England play and I hate to see them lose (especially so badly), but actually I'm glad they lost this game. Yes, there will be some fallout, but it wasn't the Ashes. At least this way there will be no controversy about the money. Unfortunatly it's always the same - we lose everyone gets on the team's back, we win, the team gets accused of 'cashing in' blah, blah, blah. Was it KP's decision that England play this series? I don't think it was...

the england batting was a utter shambles, all the top order out playing silly shots, walking accross to the off side trying to hit down to fine leg or moving about in the crease just having a slog. the superstars openers showed our lot how to bat by just waiting to see where the ball pitch and playing each ball on merit, their bowling was no better then ours, just made to look better because of the stupid tactics we employed. untill we find batsmen who can use their brains when playing this type of cricket we will remain the laughing stock of the top flight cricket nations.

I thought the Stanford 20/20 was great! Just a shame that KP and his team had to give as many excuses for loosing as a premier league manager! If I was not concentrating at my job and making mistakes I think my boss might be having a word with me!! At the end of the day cricket is always the winner and the conditions were the same for all the teams! If the lads were upset about Mr Stanford socialising with the "wags" next year leave them at home! See how that goes down with the lads! At the end of the day I don't take my girlfriend to "WORK"!

I think England got what they deserved all week they have moaned and complained about the pitch, the lights and anything else that didn't go they're way. The island has just got over a hurricane and flooding so id say the groundsman did a great job! The lights were the same for both teams so why cant the England players accept they were under prepared and beaten by a better team. Since we won the ashes in 2005 the team has become more and more like our football players - spoilt. The one thing Ive always loved about cricket is how humble the players are in victory and defeat - you would never have herd Mike Atherton, Mr Gooch or Nasser complaining like KP has this week.

If England had won everybody would be saying what a great success the event was. They were simply beaten by a much better side so get over it. I for one will welcome watching again.
