Los Angeles Galaxy owner Tim Leiweke has rejected criticism that David Beckham's move to America has been 'a disaster' and has backed the player to be a success in Major League Soccer.
Critics have suggested Beckham's move has not worked out, with the England international's first season being blighted by injury.
Leiweke has brushed off the criticism and says Beckham is only at the beginning of his American adventure.
"We did not bring in David for half a year we brought him in for a five-year vision.
"So the chapter on David will be written five years from now, not after the first 120 days."
"The more people pile on him the greater the reinvention seems to be every time.
"The best is yet to come from David, we know that."

Beckham is most over-rated player ever. There are at least 100 better players around that are better than him at the moment. US bought into the hype not realising he is nothing special.

The MLS is facing a very funny situation right now : they bought Beckham to make tons of money, and Becks is injured and the situation is turning into a complete failure. I'm 100% sure Becks will feature in 'Desperate Housewives', but cannot predict if he's going to leverage the image of the MLS or make it even funnier for Europeans. I live in Toronto this year, and attend a course focusing in sport (especially soccer) marketing, and all they talk about is making money out of fans' addiction to soccer... That's what Beckham transfer is all about...

Of course beckham will be a success, he is to good a player not to be. I mean he has been hit with injury after injury due to playing for england and having to try and get them out the mess they are in. Next season he will come back better than ever and proof he is englands ONLY World Class player...................
